This event is perfect if you: love whiskey, love learning about whiskey, would love to know if you love whiskey, you love supporting local businesses, or you’re looking to socialize with your AIWF friends at a fun event. We will be hosted at The Whiskey House, the premier whiskey bar in San Diego, located in downtown. The Whiskey House has a staggering collection of more than 4,000 whiskeys from all across the globe (a Guinness World Record!), offering something for every palate.
You won’t have to guess which of the 4,000+ whiskeys you might like the most–we’ve got the selection covered. We will be enjoying a thoughtfully curated selection from Fierce & Kind, a locally owned spirits company. Fierce & Kind is a minority- and woman-founded, impact-driven, Double-Platinum award-winning spirits brand with a rapidly growing presence. Fierce & Kind believes in the power of the human spirit and its spirits to do good in its communities and for its consumers. As a key tenet of that belief, Fierce & Kind donates 25% of its profits from each bottle sold to its foundation to build entrepreneurship and opportunity in underserved and underrepresented communities.
To begin the evening, we will have a welcome cocktail and a bit of time to mingle. Then Fierce & Kind founders Basem Harb and Cyndi Smith will speak to us about the history of whiskey, their brand, and the distillation process. They’ll pour three whiskeys for us, alongside three waves of food to accompany them. We’ll have some charcuterie, a sausage board, and steak sliders, perfect accompaniments to the whiskey. Basem and Cyndi will pour two of their core expressions, and will also open a limited release bottle for us. All while guiding us through each spirit.
We are very excited for this event and are looking forward to seeing you all there. Capacity is limited so please sign up early. Our members can enjoy a special rate for this event of only $70. And for non-members it is only $80. ants and bars.
